Bird Watching Meet at the FDR Boathouse
Join Emma of Philadelphia Queer Birders on a joyful fall romp through the FDR Meadows as we look and listen for our visiting friends of fall, the warbler! Birders of all experiences are welcomed, with newcomers encouraged to join. The walk will last approximately two hours but folks are welcome to stay for as long or as short as they want. Extra binoculars will be available.
Registration is required at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/meadowfest-birdwatching-walk-with-philly-queer-birders-tickets-430981405987
Accessibility info: The walk will cover around a mile, and is on a flat, grassy (and sometimes muddy) exposed trail. There are limited to no places to sit along the trail, but we will move at a slow pace as birders do. FDR Park is accessible by public transportation and there is plenty of parking available. There are bathrooms at the clubhouse and porta-potties around the park.
Location: FDR Boathouse
