Seed Saving with Goda Meet at the community bulletin board
Join us at MeadowFest to learn the very basics of seed saving with Goda! Seed saving is when you let a plant live through its entire life cycle and then collect the seeds it makes and store them to plant them again in the future. it’s a beautiful and tactilely satisfying process and i think everyone (or at least everyone that grows plants) should know about it. Seed saving is important because it lets us gradually adapt plants to our specific and ever more chaotic environments and helps us preserve varieties that are important and beautiful to us. it also helps us build more meaningful relationships with plants and the humans that we can then share our saved seeds with! truly an abundant and nourishing practice all around. The class will just cover the very basics that will let you get started, and hopefully then endeavor on a lifetime of further learning and experimenting :)
Accessibility: We will walk on paved and natural surfaces, some of which may be soggy, so wear appropriate shoes. No gear is necessary; magnifying glasses will enhance the experience.
