TREES NOT TURF RALLY at City Hall

  • Philadelphia City Hall (north side) 1400 John F Kennedy Boulevard Philadelphia, PA, 19107 United States (map)

Join us at City Council on Thursday, Sept 5th to demand a citywide ban on toxic turf and a stop to the destruction and privatization of our public green spaces!

The Master Plan for FDR Park has destroyed 75 acres of woods and meadows so far. The City cut down hundreds of mature trees to make way for toxic artificial turf fields. 100 acres are still on the chopping block. There are thousands more trees to save!

Enough is enough! The city must fundamentally change its approach to our green spaces.
Join and make your voice heard: bit.ly/treesnotturf

The rally will be about 30-45 minutes long and then you are invited to attend the opening session of City Council. Some of us will give testimony. If you’d like to speak, email us— it’s easy and we will happily support you (here are some tips).

We need volunteers! Reach out if you can help:
